Put Off the Old Self

Ephesians 4:22-24

Identify what needs to be put off.

Some old patterns need to be actively removed, not just managed.

Let renewal start in your mind.

External change without internal renewal usually doesn't last.

Put on the new deliberately.

This isn't passive. Paul frames it as active, ongoing effort.

Expect this to be a process.

Putting off and putting on isn't usually a single event.

Aim at the right target.

The new self is specifically created to reflect God's character.

Dad Takeaway: Growth isn't just subtraction. You have to actively put on something new too.
