Be Patient Like a Farmer

1 min read

James 5:7-8

James compares patient endurance to a farmer waiting for his crop, standing firm as he waits for the autumn and spring rains. Growth on God's timeline requires a farmer's patience.

Accept that growth takes time.

Farmers don't rush a harvest. Neither should you rush spiritual growth.

Wait for the right rains.

Some growth depends on timing you can't control or accelerate.

Stand firm during the wait.

Patience here isn't passive — it's a firm, active posture.

Trust the process even when it's invisible.

Most of a crop's growth happens underground, out of sight.

Expect the harvest eventually.

The farmer's patience assumes a harvest is actually coming.

Dad Takeaway: You can't rush a harvest. Stand firm and let the process work.
