Fight the Good Fight

Oct 3
1 min read

1 Timothy 6:12

Paul instructs Timothy to fight the good fight of faith, to take hold of the eternal life to which he was called. Not every fight is worth having — but this one is.

Know which fight is actually good.

Not every battle deserves your energy. This one does.

Fight for faith, not just against frustration.

There's a difference between fighting for something and just fighting because you're annoyed.

Take hold of what you were called to.

This fight has a purpose beyond the fight itself.

Expect this fight to be ongoing.

Timothy needed the reminder because the fight doesn't end quickly.

Don't drop your guard.

A good fight still requires vigilance, even when it feels won.

Dad Takeaway: Not every fight matters. This one — your faith — is worth everything you've got.
