Grow in Grace

1 min read

2 Peter 3:18

Peter closes with a simple exhortation: grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Growth in both categories — grace and knowledge — was meant to continue for a lifetime.

Grow in grace, not just information.

Knowing more about God isn't the same as growing in relationship with Him.

Grow in knowledge, not just feeling.

Emotional experience alone isn't the whole picture either. Both matter together.

Expect growth to be ongoing.

This isn't a destination you arrive at. It's a direction you stay in.

Review the month honestly.

Some days you grew. Some days you didn't. Be honest about both.

Carry roots into October.

What got rooted this month should keep growing, not get abandoned next month.

Dad Takeaway: Growth doesn't have a finish line this side of heaven. Keep growing.
