Planted by the Water

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Jeremiah contrasts two men — one who trusts in people, and one who trusts in the Lord. The one who trusts God is like a tree planted by water, unafraid even in drought, still bearing fruit.

What you rely on determines how you handle dry seasons.

Send roots toward the water.

Trusting God isn't passive. It's an active reach toward Him.

Expect drought at some point.

Even well-planted trees face dry years. Roots matter most then.

Don't stop bearing fruit in hard seasons.

A rooted man can still produce even when circumstances are lean.

Stay unafraid.

Fear fades when your trust is anchored somewhere reliable.
