Two Are Better Than One

Oct 13
1 min read

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

The Preacher observes two are better than one, because if either falls, the other can help him up. Pity the one who falls alone, with no one to lift him.

Recognize the danger of isolation.

Falling alone is worse than falling with someone nearby to help.

Value companionship over independence.

Self-sufficiency sounds strong but leaves you exposed when you fall.

Be ready to lift others up.

This works both directions — you're meant to help, not just be helped.

Let someone close enough to help.

Distant relationships can't reach you when you actually fall.

Don't wait until you fall to find your person.

Proximity has to be established before the crisis, not during it.

Dad Takeaway: Falling happens to everyone. Falling alone is the tragedy to avoid.
