Ending the Month with Gratitude

Gratitude changes perspective.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

As September closes, it’s a perfect chance to model gratitude for your kids.

Gratitude doesn’t ignore challenges. It shifts focus to God’s goodness in the middle of them. Around the table, ask your family: “What’s one thing you’re thankful for this month?” Write them down. Celebrate them.

When your kids see you practicing gratitude, even in hard seasons, they learn to anchor themselves in God’s faithfulness. Gratitude shapes not just attitudes, but entire outlooks on life.

Dad takeaway: Teach your kids to end every season with thanks.
