Sabbath for the Whole Family

Sundays remind us that rest isn’t optional — it’s holy. Exodus 20:8 says, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” For dads, leading your family into Sabbath means more than just going to church. It’s about creating a rhythm of worship, rest, and joy together.

This might look like family worship, a walk together, or an intentional day of slowing down.

Sabbath is countercultural in a world that never stops, but it trains our kids to see God as the source of our identity and strength.

When you lead your family in rest, you’re not just giving them a break — you’re pointing them to Jesus, the ultimate rest-giver (Matthew 11:28–29).

Dad takeaway: Don’t just take Sabbath yourself — lead your family into it.
