The Discipline of Gratitude

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling — it’s a muscle. It must be trained daily or it weakens.

Psalm 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.”

Write down three things you’re grateful for today. Then speak them out loud — to your spouse, your kids, or God. Gratitude shifts focus from what’s missing to what’s present.

When your kids see you practice thankfulness even in chaos, they’ll learn how to weather storms with peace.

Dad takeaway: Train gratitude like you train your body — daily reps make it stronger.
