The Discipline of Time

Time is a father’s most valuable resource. You can earn more money, but you can’t create more time. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom.”

Kids spell love T-I-M-E.

It’s not about elaborate trips or expensive gifts. It’s about showing up — at the game, at the dinner table, at bedtime. Small chunks of intentional time speak louder than hours of distracted presence.

The discipline of time means choosing what matters most. Saying no to unnecessary distractions. Structuring your schedule so your family doesn’t get leftovers.

You won’t regret giving your kids time. But you will regret letting time slip away.

Dad takeaway: Your kids need your time more than your stuff. Invest it wisely.
