The Gift of Presence

Scripture: “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” — John 1:14

God’s greatest gift to us wasn’t advice — it was Himself. Jesus didn’t send a message from afar; He came near.

Your presence mirrors His. Kids don’t just want you around — they want you with them. Fully engaged. Undistracted. Unhurried.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I present, or just nearby?

  • Am I listening fully or half-listening?

  • Am I giving my family my best attention or my leftover energy?

This season, be present the way Jesus was present — fully here, fully attentive, fully loving.

Dad Takeaway: Your presence is a better gift than anything under the tree.
