When You Feel Spiritually Dry

Every dad goes through dry seasons — times when prayer feels flat and faith feels distant. You’re not alone.

Even King David wrote, “My soul thirsts for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1).

Spiritual dryness doesn’t mean God has left you. It’s often His invitation to seek Him more intentionally.

Get honest with God. Tell Him you’re struggling. Go back to the basics — Scripture, worship, and community. Sometimes, spiritual renewal comes through simple obedience when emotions aren’t there.

Don’t isolate in dryness. Talk to another brother in Christ. Ask for prayer. Often the breakthrough comes when we choose faith over feeling.

Dad takeaway: When your spirit feels dry, dig deeper — God is still working beneath the surface.
